  1. Speech-dispatcher has been configured to use the espeak speech synthesizer
  2. by default, and will use the default alsa device. To change the sound
  3. device used, edit /etc/speechd/modules/espeak.conf and adjust accordingly.

  7. Please note all Speech Dispatcher log files can reveal your user interactions
  8. and texts you read through Speech Dispatcher, among others.  For this reason,
  9. the /var/log/speech-dispatcher/ directory is world-unreadable by default.
